Bluebells Guests Enjoy River Cruise Treat

Bluebells Dementia Day Centre guests were treated to a morning Thames river cruise. on the Rivertime accessible boat yesterday (Monday).

The Henley Handibus collected our guests and took them to and from the River and Rowing Museum jetty. The Rivertime boat took them through the lock and upriver to Shiplake, then down river through the Regatta course and around temple island. Bluebell’s guests had a lovely time enjoying the beautiful river scenes and enjoying tea, coffee and biscuits on the way.

This trip (and a second trip for our Thursdays guests taking place on 11 August) has kindly been funded by the Henley Lions Club.  The Rivertime Trust boat is fitted with a wheelchair lift and disabled toilet so it is accessible for all.

Suri Poulos, Bluebells’ Co-ordinator said, “Bluebells would like to say a huge Thank You to all three charities for giving our guests such a lovely treat.”
