Henley Show Returns With All the Popular Attractions Plus Sky High Motorbikes

The Henley Show returns on Saturday (10 September) and since 1891 has been one of the largest events in the area and is one of a few remaining one day agricultural shows in Oxfordshire.

It is a fun, family day out at Henley Showground organised by the Henley and District Agricultural Association, a local charity supporting other agriculturally related organisations.

New for this year, are the amazing Bolddog Lings FMX motorcycle display team in the Main Ring at 1pm and 3.45pm who fly high at 40ft doing death defying gymnastics.  Also in the Main Ring will be the Royal County of Berkshire Army Cadet Force Band, parades of the livestock class winners, classic cars and tractors. Due to the drought there will be no horse jumping this year as the ground is too hard for the horses but there will still be horse driving classes. In Ring Four there will be a wonderful display of heavy horses.  Richard Savoury’s popular Sheep Show returns in Ring Four, along with a gun dog display and falconry.  The Horticultural Tent has experts available to answer your gardening questions and the hotly contested biggest grown vegetables will be on display in the Produce Tent along with entries for the other floral and cookery competitions.  The Giant Tortoises from the Seychelles also return who have become a regular attraction to the show in recent years.

Sheep and cattle classes on show will highlight many interesting and rare breeds and this year for the first time there will be some pigs visiting the show.  Unfortunately due to Bird Flu the very popular Poultry Tent will not be at the show this year.

There is a companion Dog Show which you can enter on the day.  Click here to see the the schedule of classes. Well behaved dogs are welcome.

Fun fair rides, craft and shopping area, plus a delicious food and wine market mean there is something for everyone and

Free parking and free buses run from outside Boots in Bell Street from 9.00 to 5.30pm.
