Citizens Advice Searching for New Trustees
Citizens Advice Oxfordshire South and Vale are looking for a number of new trustees to join their Board. The local charity, run by volunteers, provides free, confidential and independent advice to help people living in South Oxfordshire and the Vale of the White Horse.
The main issues Citizens Advice helps people to address concern benefits, debt, employment and housing problems. Following advice, four in five people are able to resolve their problem and most can find a way forward. The charity also uses evidence to influence policies and practices that affect people’s lives both locally and nationally.
During the global pandemic in 2020, Citizens Advice’s 90 advisers advised 9,000 clients on over 20,000 problems, many of which were linked to the Covid-19 crisis
