Henley Quakers Raise £500 for Nomad at Snowdrop Sunday

Henley Quakers opened their garden and burial ground on 19 February to share the beautiful display of snowdrops with members of the public.  It was a glorious sunny afternoon and record numbers of visitors came to marvel at the Quakers ‘hidden’ garden behind the Friends Meeting House in Northfield End.

Tea and cake was provided for some 150 people.  A voluntary collection raised over £500 which has been passed on to Nomad for the Henley Food Bank.  Henley Friends would like to thank all who attended and appreciated walking around our garden and gave so generously to the collection.

If you missed seeing their garden last time, they will be opening their Peaceful Garden again for Henley’s Chelsea Fringe on Sunday 21 May and they would be very pleased to see you there.

Henley Quakers meet at 10.45 a.m. every Sunday for Meeting for Worship at the Meeting House.  If an hour of quiet reflection on a Sunday morning in our peaceful Meeting Room appeals to you, please feel free to come along.  You would be most welcome to join us.
