New Menswear Shop Taking Over Paperchase Shop
Brook Taverner, a menswear shop are to take over the former Paperchase Shop in Bell Street and hope to open in September.
The company was founded in 1912 by Frank Brook and Walter Taverner and they opened their first shop in Ballater in Scotland. They currently have 11 stores and Henley will be their 12th. Other stores are in Windsor, Cirencester, Stratford-upon-Avon, Bury St Edmunds.
A spokesperson for Brook Taverner said, “We’re delighted to be opening in Henley-on-Thames. We feel our heritage and commitment to quality will be right at home in a town that’s famed for scenic surroundings, and enriched with quintessentially British appeal.”
Henley already has Facy, Laurence Menswear, Henley Menswear selling men’s clothes. Laurence Morris from Laurence Menswear said, “It’s always good to see new brands coming in to Henley and giving people more choice. A bit of competition is never a bad thing.”
