When the Mayor Met Father Christmas is This Year’s Theme for Card

Henley Mayor,  Councillor Kellie Hinton is inviting all local primary school aged children to come up with a design for her Christmas card depicting her when she met Father Christmas (don’t forget her pink hair).

The annual Christmas card competition will see the winner chosen having their design printed as the Mayor’s Christmas card along with an invitation to help switch the Christmas lights on and to meet the special celebrity in the Mayor’s Parlour.  The winner will also be given a family ticket to this year’s Pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk, at the Kenton Theatre and a Kenton goody bag, kindly donated by the theatre.

Entries must be original, creative and colourful and not use glitter or any protruding items.  It must be on A5 paper, either landscape or portrait and include the child’s name, age, phone number, school and address on the reverse.

All entries must be submitted to the Town Hall no later than 4pm on Friday 3 November 2023, the winning design will be announced the following week.  No entries will be accepted after this deadline. All entrants must be aged 5 to 11 years old and either live or go to school in Henley. The winning selection will be made by the Mayor and Mayoress the week commencing 6 November.  First place and runners-up second and third place winners will be displayed in the town.
