Refugee Support Group Art Exhibition

The Thames Valley Refugee Support Group are organising a sale of original art work, signed prints and pretty framed pictures on Saturday 22 June at the Friends Meetings House at Northfield End.

Many local groups, supporters and artists have donated and others will be helping on the day. As well as a private collection of original art from many distinguished artists, there will be work from local artists.

Organiser Val Johnstone said, “A highlight will be the showing of work from a Ukranian lady and also from a young man from Sudan. The poster image (above) for the exhibition is the work of a British/Madagascan painter who had an atelier in St. Anton Noble Val in SW France and now has a gallery El -Harar in Brussels.  The ladies of Henley Support Group love the chair featured on the
poster so much, they all want a copy of the poster. This work is £250.  We are honoured that the new Henley Mayor is keen to show his support and will be one of our early visitors.”

Refreshments of tea, coffee and cakes will be served all day with the beautiful gardens open to the pubic too.
