A new litter-picking group, set up to complement the original Henley Wombles, is about to start by Debbie Farnfield who has recently moved from Marlow where she was a Marlow Womble.
Debbie said, “It’s aim is to provide a useful, social community-based group in our town. We will aim to meet regularly offering litter picks on different days to suit people. How much you commit to is up to you.”
Called Henley-on-Thames (HOT) Wombles, the first litter-picking session will be on Monday 28 September. Interested volunteers are asked to meet at 10.00am in the d:two cafe at the Henley Baptist Church, opposite the Old Fire Station Gallery. Bring your own equipment if you have it or pickers etc. will be provided.
If you cannot make the first session, you can contact Debbie on debfarn35@gmail.com or 07557 401174.
