Fawley Hill Steam & Vintage Transport Festival This Weekend Starting Tomorrow

Lady Judy McAlpine is opening her private estate for the Fawley Hill Steam & Vintage Transport Festival this weekend (17-19 May).

Visitors can enjoy exploring all the exhibits from camels and horses, to vintage spitfires, cycles, motorcycles, cars, boats, planes, traction engines, steam rollers, tanks, tractors and buses!

You can take a ride on a steam locomotive from a Victorian railway station with the steepest standard gauge railway track in the world and look out for over 20 species of animal in the animal on your train ride.  At the station, take a look around the Fawley Museum, which has one of the largest collections of small railway artefacts in the country along with model train sets in action.

The Crooked Billet pub and other local hospitality businesses will offer great street food along with plenty of local drinks.

There will be a large number of stalls selling autojumble, vintage and modern items from furniture to clothes, jewellery to garden sculptures plus fairground rides for the children.

Live music entertainment from noon to night will be in the big top and will include performances from Average Wife Band, Sax Bandits and the Sam Brown and her Ukulele Band.

FREE tickets are available for children 11 & under along with carers accompanying disabled visitors.  There is  a special FREE car park area for Blue Badge holders.

The event is raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support & Thames Valley Air Ambulance.

The festival will be open Fri 17 May 10.00-11.30pm, Sat 18 May 10.00-11.30pm and Sun 19 May 10.00-6.00pm
